Big Water Visitors Center

The construction of this project was structural steel framing with concrete masonry units. Stone veneer and metal panel were used for the exterior building skin, colored concrete was installed in all common walkways. Radius architectural cast in place concrete walls were a major element. This project was in a remote location, 300 miles south of Salt Lake City, Utah. The building serves as a visitor center with small offices for BLM personnel. CWC managed over 15 subcontractors on this project. Cal Wadsworth Construction was invited to the ribbon cutting ceremony and complimented by the Bureau of Land Management for our outstanding quality performance. This project was completed on time with no claims or disputes. CWC was responsible for quality control and hired an outside testing lab to perform special inspection on steel, concrete and masonry. Cal Wadsworth Construction self performed the special concrete work, masonry and rough framing.
