TASR Provo Airport

Provo, UT
  • Contract: $77,898
  • Client: Parsons TSSC
  • Duration: 4 months
The purpose of this project was to provide a temporary radar tower and facilities for the Provo Airport for the 2002 Olympics. This required Cal Wadsworth Construction to go to California to dismantle the tower and ship it to Utah. Each part of the tower was labeled and catalogued to ensure proper reassembly. The work performed to establish the facilities included mechanical, electrical, concrete, excavation and fencing. An extensive grounding system was installed as well as a complete mechanical system to provide heating and cooling to the mobile trailers that operated the radar tower.
